Most women these days suffer from cellulite. This is a problem which is very difficult to get rid of. Many women fight cellulite for years, spend thousands of dollars on remedies and lotions, but the cellulite remains and women are desperate. Cellulite is considered to be completely different from spare fat, as fat can be burnt with special diets and exercises, and the same diets and exercising just don’t work when it comes to cellulite, let alone the “effect” of various external means. With age cellulite may grow progressively worse and look plain ugly. So what are the common myths about cellulite?
• Myth one – cellulite consists of some special sort of fat. In fact regular fat that is under the skin all over your body is just the same as cellulite. It may look lumpy due to its specific structure, but it is still the same fat and researches have proven that. This leads to the conclusion that all the industry of “anti-cellulite” means is another way to earn money on people’s desperation, as the very term “cellulite” has been fabricated. All those means can at best improve the state of your skin, but usually they are just useless. Thinking logically – do you think that there would be so many anti-cellulite means if at least one of them actually worked?
• Myth two – cellulite is caused by “harmful toxins”. There are various anti-cellulite means that actually claim that. But this is a bright example of people inventing unnecessary problems in order to solve them and deceive themselves that they do something useful. Or plainly earning money on naïve people who believe that. Again, use your logical thinking – do you think that some “harmful toxins” are programmed to target only your thighs and buttocks? Obviously the toxins would have cause cellulite all over the body and probably would have done much more harm to your body.
• Myth three – cellulite is an inherited illness. If you, your mother and sister have cellulite, this doesn’t mean that the illness is inherited. There are many cases when only one member of the family suffers from cellulite, or all but one, and this is no wonder, as the researches have not fixed any connection between the inheritance and cellulite.
• Myth four – you can’t get rid of cellulite. Of course you can’t use the same diets and exercises that you would use in a normal fat loss schedule, but there are special exercising programs created especially for these purposes. In fact those exercises have to be directed at strengthening the muscles of your thighs, and this will make your skin smoother.
There are many more myths about cellulite, and some of them are plain ridiculous. But I hope that from this article you have learned some basic things about the anti-cellulite industry and its pitfalls.
