With everything that Big Sky, Montana has to offer snow skiers, it is incredible that so very few know about its presence! Big Sky has three mountains to delight skiers and snowboarders. Lone Mountain is the resort’s signature peak, rising to 11,166 feet. For the cross-country skier , Lone Mountain Ranch grooms 75+ kilometers of trails that wind their way through the woods, meadows and golf course of Big Sky . Fly fishing , hiking, whitewater rafting , backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding and golfing are some of Big Sky’s most popular warm weather activities.

The two resorts share the same mountain – Lone Peak, which is nearly an hour from Bozeman. At one time, the resorts shared several trails and a lift.
