No Time is Perfect For Installing A Fence

Are you considering having a fence contractor install a privacy boundary in your yard?

Unfortunately, most homeowners do consider one but will often delay their fence installation because fences seem to take a backseat to other issues. Putting in a nice privacy fence is not as important as fixing the broken air conditioner in the middle of a hot summer day, but there are many reasons for installing a fence as soon as possible.

If you are still trying to decide whether to get a fence now or wait a little longer, hopefully this article can help you. Fences are often a necessity, rather than a luxury, which means you may need a fence company to give you an estimate soon!

Most local laws require a self closing latch around a pool. What you must have is a fence that surrounds the pool area (a fence just around the perimeter of your yard won’t cut it) and the gate must be able to swing closed on its own. This law was passed to prevent things like small children falling in the pool or pets jumping in when no one is looking. Pool fences help to decrease the amount of accidents that happen around swimming pools by keeping those who should not be in the water from going in unattended.

One of the most useful reasons for a fence are to contain animals. Dogs are infamous for running away the second you turn your back on them. Fences are great to keep your dog, or other pets, from escaping. This leaves you free to let the dog out by itself and not have to watch it the whole time he or she is out there.

Privacy fences are great to keep your beloved dog from jumping over it. If you have wire on your fence, this prevents your pets from going through wide slats or rails in the fence. For pet lovers, installing a fence could be a great thing for you because you can leave your pets alone and do something else while they do their business.

One fear that many parents have is that their children will get lost somehow. If your child likes to explore or wander around out of your sight, a fenced-in yard could come in handy. With a latched gate, your kids can run around the backyard, safe and within a reasonable distance from you.

Fences give parents that little break they need by ensuring the children are in a confined area while they play. Parents don’t have to follow their kids around because they know there is only a small area they can run around in.

When you live in a neighborhood, you are very close to other people on every side. It is pretty common in neighborhoods that some neighbors will walk across your yard as a short cut, which is an intrusion on your privacy. It is okay to put up a fence just to keep out pesky neighbors and other trespassers on your property. It’s your yard, and they do not have the right to walk through it without your permission. You might want to talk to these neighbors and let them know that they should not intrude on your land, and that you are going to put a fence up to make sure it doesn’t happen anymore. Remember: this isn’t kindergarten; you don’t have to share everything you own with those around you!

Pools, pets, children, and troublesome neighbors are all reasons that people decide to have a fence installed. While trying to figure out if you want a fence now or not, consider the conditions listed above. If one or more of those things pertain to you, it is probably time to get a fence!
