RTR, Professional Sports Marketing Firm with more than 10 years of experience in sports marketing and organizing promotional events, has joined ESA, an international association bringing together the most authoritative organizations in the area of sports sponsorship.
ESA Mission (from their official website) is:
“To serve all parties to the discipline including sponsors, rights holders, agencies, governments, consumers, the media and the general public by fulfilling the following principal roles:
1. Setting Standards – Identifying and promoting responsible best practice and self-regulation.
2. Improving – Advancing sponsorship competencies, practice and knowledge.
3. Promoting – Being an advocate for sponsorship and promoting its importance, values and ethics.
4. Supporting – Being an essential resource for sponsorship information, education/training and relationships.
5. Engaging – Acting as the advocate, manager and authority on key policy issues at national government and pan-European level.
6. Benefiting – Encouraging the role of sponsorship to make a contribution to society.”
ESA was formed from the merger between ESCA (European Sponsorship Consultant Association), regarded as the most important association in the sponsorship field in Europe, and ISS, specializing in the area of sports. And it was in fact through the decision of ESCA that in 2000 RTR garnered a significant award as winner of the Italian Sponsorship Awards.
RTR’s mission consists in providing a complete consulting service to businesses wishing to use sport as a communication platform in order to reach their target audience.
Membership of a well-organized, active network such as ESA forms part of a process of expansion towards Europe, upon which RTR Sports Marketing had already embarked some time previously, boasting several international clients in its portfolio such as Procter & Gamble, AMD, Acer and Dupont.
Riccardo Tafà, RTR’s managing director, said: “Joining ESA represents an important opportunity for RTR Sports Marketing to make its own contribution to setting out values and directions in the world of professional sports marketing. What’s more, dialogue with other organizations provides a further opportunity to stay up-to-date and up-to-pace with developments in the sports events marketing sector.”
