Most little girls go through a make believe phase where everything they want to do is centered around different princess themes. This usually occurs between the ages of 3-5 years of age . This article will give you the steps to give your daughter a great princess themed birthday party that she will always remember but also will not break your budget . It will have everything from the hot pink decorations, to the make your own princess rhinestone tiaras station , to the princess themed lunch to the guests goody bag items including rhinestone chokers for the small princesses to wear home.

Once you have decided when to have the party be sure to set a wise time for this 3-5 age group. Typically late morning leading into lunch is the optimal time and no longer than two hours too for the party . Most little princesses want everything to be pink and sparkly and this can be done frugally with a lot of crepe decorations and pink balloons everywhere . Much more than that is usually a waste for this age group. A fun suggestion is to paint a huge castle on butcher block paper and hang it by the home entrance . Tell the party guest to come in their princess costumes and get a Polaroid picture by the castle when they arrive with the birthday girl .

The key to a successful birthday party for preschoolers is to keep them busy and entertained the entire time with short activities that flow right from one to another. The next suggestion is to have the party guests go to the craft making station where they create their own tiara. Have pre-cut out poster board crowns already made where the girls can glue on jewels and rhinestones to make it special to them .

Then follow that craft] with a more physically active one to get some of the energy out . Simple games like Duck, Duck goose are popular but use different words like princess and wand instead. Another fun idea is to have a princess parade with the princesses property . After this it is time for them to decorate a sturdy paper frame that will have their Polaroid photo in it. Crayons in princess colors are easy and fun for them to use in addition to some pink feathers to glue on the frame .

Now it is time for lunch . Continue with the princess and pink theme by serving little sandwiches cut out with a crown cookie cutter and pink animal crackers in addition to pink watermelon and pink juice . The meal will be followed by the birthday cake which also could be pink served with individual strawberry ice cream sundae cups .

Hopefully after all of the games, crafts and food the party goers will be happily tuckered out and have had fun at the princess party. Along with their princess tiara and framed photo that they decorated , give them a sparkly princess rhinestone choker necklace that they can wear home and add to their dress up collection.
