A lot of people who have decided to be a nurse early in their career decide to attend an LPN or LVN program. Then later in their career maybe they then starting thinking they want to make more money or what a little more respect. No matter what type of nurse you are it can be hard work. But let’s face it an RN will make more money and likely have more respect then an LPN or LVN. That does not mean LPNs or LVNs are not needed or appreciated, they are of course. For example should you go to a traditional brick and mortar type university or choose an lpn to rn online type option? An online program may be exactly what you need if you work full time and/or have a family to support or take care of. Being a full time LPN or LVN is hard and adding a committed non flexibly degree program to the mix can make life much more stressful. Therefore you really need to consider all your options before you make up you mind. That means right now you should be gathering information from both online and campus based colleges to help you decide which is best for you and your career.
