Menopause and Pregnancy Can Occur
Oh yes, it can happen. Even women who are going through menopause can still become pregnant. Not until eggs cease exiting the ovarian tubes will a woman’s ability to become pregnant cease as well. Even after a woman has stopped making her own eggs she may still become pregnant if she uses a donor egg. Premenopausal women and menopausal women are still at risk of becoming pregnant even if they are no longer having normal periods. Pregnancy during menopause can bring on a variety of complications including: reduced bond density in the mother, aggravating circulation problems, and having an extremely high risk pregnancy.
