“Healthy Bodies” run on food that keeps you healthy. This mean no sugar, and lots of healthy fruits and vegetables. If you eats lots of fruits and vegetables, and make sure you get plenty of rest and exercise, then you will stay fit and trim and live to be old and gray. That is the goal of eating right, getting more sleep and exercising, right? you want to live an longer more prosperous life?

Exercise is another good thing, and you can always walk more to get fit. Lifting is good, but you can over do it. Everything in moderation. I try to walk at least 30 minutes to an hour 3 to four times per week. If I could walk every day, it would be even better. Folks in Europe walk everywhere, whereas we here in the United States take our car everywhere. Shame on us. So, how much exercise is enough exercise, if you are doing more than walking? If you lift, you should not work the same muscles two days in a row, so work your legs two or three days a week, and your upper body two or three days a week. Make sure to have some time off to recover as well. Find more on working out here: Modern Exercise

Eat right, get plenty of sleep and exercise. The most important thing of course, is to drink plenty of filtered water. At least an ounce for every pound of weight. So if you weight 200 pounds, you should be drinking at least a gallon or two a day. Water is the staff of life. you body is almost 80% water. Making sure you have enough water makes you regular, sleep better, and gets rid of stress and headaches. So keep on drinking water. Water is Staff of Life

What about whole grains? Yes, yes and yes. You could east lots of whole grains, and not worry about carbohydrates. You need to worry about carb’s when you are eating a lot of empty calories, like white bread, and crackers, and sugary stuff. Avoid the modified food starches, and enriched stuff, and run away from fruit drinks that have no fruit in them, but mostly sugars. If it says high fructose corn syrup,. avoid it like the plague.

Protein is OK, as long as you avoidthe fats, and eat the lean meats. This does not mean you have to give up beef, it just menas you should avoid real fatty cuts, and again ,everything in moderation! Find More at Help for Health

Just like with anything else there are certain rules associated with anything. Exercising or starting workouts is not an exception and there are some standard set of rules that apply to workouts and exercising. When we say exercising we don’t necessarily mean exercising for muscle building or weight loss. Muscle building exercises are just a small set of the entire universe of exercising. You might be exercising for muscle gain/ weight loss/ fitness level/ building stamina/ to cope up with stress, the list goes on and on. Exercising is definitely a panacea to a lot of ailments. Anyhow out here are just a few very briefly illustrated do’s and don’ts of exercising.

#1) Vist your doctor before you start: Yes, this is very very important. Before you pack your bags for gym, take an appointment with your doctor and discuss it out with him. Clearly tell him of your goals and go for a checkup so that he can tell you if there is any issue. E.g. you might be planning on to start swimming but your skin may be allergic to chlorine. Let your doctor decide on it and advice you accordingly. It is much better than going to him later.

#2) Make it fun: When we say that we mean that your exercise schedule should not be like your work routine, boring and hectic. It should be like a break, short and enjoyable. Engage in the activity you like. So, if you enjoy swimming then do that as an exercise routine. Learn some new tricks that make you flex your muscles more. Similarly, bicycling or going for jogging in the morning with a new partner will make it really more attractive and pleasant experience. Remember, weight lifting is not the only form of exercise unless you are looking for muscle building. Engaging in any kind of sports that makes you perspire and your muscles work will help your body stay much fitter and better.

#3) Don’t try to be brave: Just note down this key point and you will definitely save on some injuries. If you have gone for your workouts or exercises and find yourself ailing over some muscle pain or joints pain, don’t ignore it. Most of the people experience some kind of pain when they start exercising. A part of it is natural as your muscles start adjusting but that is a very fine threshold. If the pain seems to go past that threshold then get a checkup. You might have strained some muscle, or you might be suffering from something. To ignore this kind of issue would be foolish and you might be preparing yourself for some bigger injury.
