Taking An Oceania Cruise
By: aneta uiskis

With so many cruise lines sailing the high seas, it’s difficult to know which cruise line to take. Some of the bigger cruise line names like Carnival and Disney cruises are well-known commodities. But that’s no reason to skip the smaller cruise lines that might not have the same advertising time. If you’re looking for a different type of cruise experience that is a bit less commercialized, try an Oceania cruise.

The fleet
Unlike other cruise liners that have up to 70 different ships, Oceania has three cruise vessels. These vessels hold around 650 passengers per ship, which means you get a more intimate setting than a regular mid to large size vessel that holds up to 2,000 passengers. In other words, you really get to know your shipmates aboard an Oceania cruise line. In addition, you can receive more personal attention from staff throughout your voyage, and really be pampered like royalty.

Destinations
Oceania cruises tend to be longer than the traditional seven day cruise. They sail all over the world, in such places as the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, and North and South America. Typical departure points are Miami and Los Angeles, though other ports are also available.

Dining
Oceania cruises pride themselves on exquisite five-star dining. You’ll be amazed at the huge variety in menus and even more amazed once you taste the food. The wines are also sure to impress. In addition to the fine food, Oceania cruise lines offer open seating, which allows you to choose the time you want to dine. No more need to worry about eating at a certain time of the day, as you can choose to eat dinner from 6 pm on.

Entertainment
No cruise vacation is complete without a full range of entertainment options. Oceania cruise ships are no different. Whether you enjoy live classical concerts, jazz performances, comedy nights, or cabaret shows, you’ll find it on board an Oceania cruise line.

Activities
Oceania cruises also have a full selection of activities to choose from. Spend time in the ship’s fitness center, relax by the pool or enjoy a luxurious spa treatment. If you’re a jogger, you won’t be disappointed, as you can take advantage of the jogging track. If you prefer mental stimulation, then attend one of the many lectures throughout the trip.

Take advantage of some of the best cruise deals that offered in the off season months.
