Occupy Wall Street is a propaganda made by TPM or Tea Party Movement which made many people react differently. However, the movement is gaining ground and those who firstly dismissed the movement in its early days like President Obama and Governor Perry, are now eating their words and recanting their comments. It is a movement that already reaches outside the United Sites. What is the movement about?
In the start, just a handful of protesters started to inhabit the street of Wall Street. They were protesting the apparent lack of consideration of the Wall Street executives who were given humongous bonuses in the middle of an economic crisis many feel was really started out by the unscrupulous dealings of Wall Street. The rally gained popularity after it was announced that the executives were expecting to receive millions of dollars individually as part of their bonuses.
To bring to mind, just a few years ago, the US government had to bail out Wall Street from totally flopping onto its face and bringing the whole country down with it. In efforts to staunch an increasing economic problem, the tax payers were, in effect, the very people who had to pay for the bail out. That bail out saved Wall Street and the economy and delayed the expected floundering. Yet, the officials make a fuss when can no longer continue their merry ways and squander on the money that do not belong to them. With the use of media, the officials returned the money that belonged to the people, thereby saving them from total shame.
In the current Occupy Wall Street protest, the propaganda was spurred on when the same executives and powers that be considered they could get away with awarding themselves of again, the millions worth of bonuses.
The fact is that many Americans become jobless and others working really hard just to live by the day. Yet, the government does not do anything about the situation of the unfair and insensitive treatment of Wall Street executives.
The Occupy Wall Street Movement was feared by quite a number of individuals since they could bring forth anarchy and mess. Yet, numerous people believe that the cause of the economic crisis is due to different civil protest, although they have a point on this matter and should be supported too.
The propaganda is supported by the Constitution. Peaceful protests are permitted even when evidently, there is clearly lack of management. There have been numerous protests but are truly peaceful ones.
Troubles on garbage have been arrested and as of this writing, the movement has spurred supporters outside of the US to also band and protest.
The Occupy Wall Street movement is seen by many as the Tea Party movement of the left. The OWS movement is largely concerned with the growing wealth disparity in America and the special treatment of the banks, whereas the Tea Party is more concerned with taxation and the size of government.
