Marketing is an old process which people have been using since ages to meet their particular objectives and needs in one or the other way. In the past, internet wasn’t as easily accessible and reachable to everyone as it is in the current age of technological advancement and development. Therefore, one of the most common techniques of old marketing and branding was advertizing in a newspaper. An average customer in the past used to spend a considerable amount of time in reading the newspaper in order to know what is happening all around the globe. So people, used to brand their business, products or service via newspapers which in the modern times is considered as an old marketing technique. Since, it’s an age of information technology, therefore people find it more convenient and easy to sit on the internet and get to know all what they want so entrepreneurs now have shifted more towards online branding and marketing rather than news paper marketing.

It was more of product marketing. However, in the current age, inbound marketing is more utilized which involves market research that later drives the company’s products and services for future.

c. In old marketing, advertisers actually had more control of content in comparison to customers. However, in the modern times, customers are in full control and authority.

d. Old marketing was also expensive as advertizing on newspaper, magazines or billboards all involved huge charges however branding and marketing these days is far cheaper. As a result of social media networking such as face book, twitter and all, advertisers can better market their services and products without spending much amount from their pocket.

e. The trend of business directories has also gained a lot of popularity in the recent times. Advertisers submit their business details in their list which becomes easy for the people to know about them via search engines.
