With such a diverse range of fragrances around, most people have a number of products on their vanity unity with which to cover or enhance their daily scent. With everything from shower gel to hair gel and perfume to underarm spray, what sort of a fragrance should women be aiming for to attract a new or enrapture their current gentleman of stature.
The thing about fragrances is though, that they have a three level effect. Top notes, middle notes and bottom notes. The top note is what it smells like when you first put it on in the morning: strong and sharp. The middle note is the one that slowly, depending on body temperature, evaporates through the afternoon and the bottom note is what you are left with until the end of the day. The key is to find something a gentleman will prefer when you will see him.
After conducting some local research and side stepping a number of uncivilised suggestions here are the results:
Fruity Smells
Men like women to smell like fruits and peaches and strawberries in particular. Perfumes with fruit heavy fragrances will start off with sweet top notes which are not too over powering for the wearer and a nice breakfast wake up for a male. As the smell mellows throughout the day, the sharpness usually dips to a soft warm level which men really like. The fruit smell is particularly feminine and sweet reminding men of their contrast to a woman.
Flowery Smells
The scent of flowers on a woman, especially a mix of sweet blossoms evokes much the same response in males as fruity smells. These are very much the opposite to the fragrances found in aftershave, these are made of scents more suited to fragrances for women. The top notes while a little less sharp than fruit ones are a bit fuller in texture. As the day progresses the scent rescinds into a much more relaxed but no less intense fragrance (depending on the brand and again, your body temperature) which men find quite irresistible.
Vanilla
While vanilla is technically, it is not a normal fruit. As you may have noticed a theme about scents gents prefer, it is the sweet flavoursome nature of vanilla that makes it a popular scent for guys to smell on girls. With again the same tonal chart as fruit and flowery combinations vanilla has a similar daily effect. The stand out aspect of vanilla is its pureness. There is something less full and a bit cleaner about it which may be why you get some many fabric softeners this flavour. Still...guys love it.
