The wedding ceremony is where everyone first gets a glimpse of the radiant bride in her beautiful Brooklyn bridal gown.
When the guests arrive at the wedding venue, it is the ushers’ duty to give them the leaflets used in the ceremony and make sure that they are seated in the correct places.
The front rows are commonly held in reserve for the bridal entourage. Although in some wedding, the bridal party stands by the altar, close to the bride and groom, during the ceremony proper.
It is a usual practice that the area in which people sit actually depend on whether they are friends or family of either the bride or the groom.
Before the start of the wedding ceremony, the groom and his Best Man stand just inside the church entrance to wait for the appearance of the bride and her entourage. The bridal party rides in elegant transportation which is especially engaged for the event. The bride arrives in her gorgeous Brooklyn bridal gown with her father, her Maid of Honor, all of her bridesmaids and junior bridesmaids, flower girls and bearers.
The flower girls would then start scattering flowers in the path for the bridal party. The wedding procession will then follow.
After the processional march of the entourage, the bride, radiant in her Brooklyn bridal gown, walks down the aisle while being escorted by her father with music playing in the background. This signals the start of the ceremony.
During the ceremony, chosen hymns or popular songs, Bible, poems and vow readings, the exchange of “I do’s” and giving of wedding rings happen.
The register or the marriage license is signed by the wedded couple with two witnesses after the wedding ceremony. The guests would then go to the entrance to shower the newly married couple with flower petals, rice or confetti as a symbol of good luck.
