The Top Pests To Watch For In Arizona
By: Mithun Saha

Arizona has numerous pests which have kept homeowners here occupied either with repairing damages or thinking of ways to eradicate these bothersome intruders. One of the most prevalent pests here is actually the ant. Experts have attributed its widespread prevalence in this area to such factors as warm weather which is quite habitable for it. Unlike other states which have varying weather patterns throughout the year, Arizona normally has warm climatic conditions. This has led to a massive increase in ants which has compounded the problem of pest to the residence of this region. The following are other pests which can be found in this area.

First of all, we have crickets. The pest is mostly hated for its ugly, sharp noise which can keep you awake all night long. In Arizona, we have two species of these pests: house crickets and field crickets. Field crickets are usually found along rivers and in areas with shrubs. They have a black color although some will be found spotting a dark brown shade. House crickets come in smaller sizes but will still keep you cursing the whole night due to the noise they cause.

Secondly, we have the bark scorpion. Those who have ever been bitten by this scorpion will tell you of the nightmare that accompanies its sting. Some of the Phoenix pest control professionals have actually carried out awareness campaign around this area to warn the residences of this pest especially in regard to vulnerable age groups like the elderly and young children. As if that is not enough, it is among the hardest pest to eradicate which has led to its prevalence.

Next, we have wolf spiders which exist in large numbers in Arizona. Those who live in rocky areas and along various rivers are prone to encounter them as they like living in these areas. The easiest way to know it is by its brown color and hairy body. Its danger lies in its bite which can have serious consequences on your health.

Finally, we have house ants. The common species in this region is referred to as the odorous ant. Watch out for it in such places as the bathrooms, doorways without forgetting the kitchen. Apart from finding comfort inside the house, these ants are also to be found outside in these areas: beneath mulch, around trees and in the midst of leaf piles.

Having said that, one should find a reputable pest control company to get rid of the above pests as they might turn out to be more than your match if you decide to tackle them yourself.
