Top 10 Organic Products
By: Matt Woodward

The organic products revolution is now with us. After years of trying to convince consumers that there was a better option to toxic products at our stores, people are now considering adding these products to their shopping lists. Some of the top organic products are to purchase are the following:

1. Organic Foods

With recent salmonella food poisoning scares, GM based foods and pesticide laden foods, the organic section in the supermarkets is now getting more visitors. Organic foods are healthier and safer than other foods, some of which may contain chemicals that are dangerous to consumers.

2. Organic Body Products

From organic skincare products to organic body products, fewer people are willing to take the risk of adding more chemicals to their bloodstream just to look beautiful. Organic body products are safer and work just as well or even better than non-organic body products.

3. Organic Baby Toys

With organic baby toys, you don't have to worry about lead contamination from poorly made baby toys originating in some far flung country. Organic baby toys are safe for the baby and the risk of inadvertently endangering your child is greatly reduced.

4. Organic Baby Clothes

Baby skin is very sensitive and can easily get infection. Organic baby clothes are not only without toxins that could harm the baby but they are also softer for the baby's skin. Using non-organic baby clothes puts a baby at risk of coming into contact with chemicals that may have been used to treat the clothes.

5. Organic Baby Diapers

A baby uses a lot of diapers. Disposal of such diapers is a health risk and a lot of work. Organic baby diapers are safer on the baby and are easily disposable. These diapers are biodegradable making them safer for the environment.

6. Organic Mattresses

A good night's sleep is essential for greater productivity. Organic mattresses contain no dangerous toxins and last just as long as the non-organic mattresses. Some of the chemicals used in the treatment of non-organic mattresses are petroleum based and can cause health issues with users.

7. Organic Cleaning Products

The use of non-organic cleaning products has been shown to increase the resistance of bacteria to medication. The body's immune system is weakened by the continuous use of these products. Organic cleaning products reduce this risk and are also very safe to use in the home environment.

8. Organic Pesticides and Herbicides

After the dangers of using DDT were discovered, people are wearier about the use of pesticides and herbicides that are not organic. Non-organic pesticides are environmental issues as they can kill both the organism being targeted and other safe organisms.

9. Organic Bamboo Products

Bamboo has been found to be a great environmental alternative to the use of wood from the rain forests. Bamboo is great in solving environmental issues like soil erosion, safe organic growth, and taking care of green house effects. The products made from bamboo are also bio-degradable, making them safer for the environment.

10. Organic Packaging

Those coffee Styrofoam cups and plastic wrappings are ending up in our rivers and oceans and are causing great environmental damage. The use of organic packaging from the shopping bags to coffee cups will greatly improve the environment.

Technology is constantly changing and more products are now getting organic based alternatives. The hope is that over time we can be able to still enjoy the same living standards while still conserving our environment.
