Educationalists from the American children development centre recently issued a research report that playing with more toys would have bad influence on children’s intellectual development. This project team, which specially took research on preschool children’s education, was subsidizes by the U.S government. Claire Lerner, one of the scholars, said that giving children too many toys or letting them play with inappropriate toys would damage their cognitive abilities because they were unable to concentrate on the same toys and know knowledge when facing so many toys in front.
Cathy, one of educational psychology professors from the Oxford University in the U.K, also confirmed this standpoint. She took the survey which lasted for a few years and investigated about 3,000 children between three to five years. Finally, she found that children who played toys only a few time were cleverer than the kids who always played with all kinds of toys such as wooden toys, bus toys, stuffed bears and so on. Based on careful study, she got the reason. These children often spent more time on reading books, singing songs and playing games with the parents so that they would be cleverer. Cathy believed that too many toys would easily disperse children’s attention, when they could not pay attention on one thing, they also could not learn or play better.

Finally, take good care of toys, if children destroy their toys carelessly, mom or dad should help children repair toys to show that they love their lovely kids and, above all, make them know how to cherish toys.
