This is a REAL STORY
We all have the same problem – we want to get fit and keep our waistlines trim, but our schedules don’t allow for hours at the gym, running through the streets (only to get shin splints and heel spurs), and personal trainers are costly. So how do you keep off the extra weight?
If you look around like I did, you will see hundreds of diet plans. Some want you to eat only meat. Some want you to eat only vegetables. Some think just eating grapefruit will keep off the weight. Others suggest only beer – which sounds fun, but it’s costly and despite what they tell you, you’ll end up packing on more fat than you initially started out with.
The problem with all of these diets is that they doom you to failure. They are forcing you to completely cut out basic building block of nutrition and after a while your body rebels – so while you may be doing great for the first week or so, your body is becoming weaker to the point where your cravings (which is your body’s way of telling you it needs something) take over and your diet snaps like a rubber band that’s been pulled too hard in one direction. In short, if you pick the wrong diet and deny your body what it needs, you are going to end up worse than when you were a little overweight. Some of the popular diets listed above could leave you with the onset of diabetes, gout, high cholesterol, liver and kidney failure, or worse.
I have been working from home for a while now, and I noticed that without the undue stress of a commute, office life and bills hanging over my head, I was certainly more relaxed and had a lot of time to enjoy family life, catch up on my reading, and a few other hobbies.
What I didn’t realize was that this also meant that my waistline was expanding because of this.
Now, I didn’t want to blow money on a personal trainer or a membership at the local fitness club. And I certainly didn’t want to give up things I enjoyed eating, so one night I was sitting down at the computer and decided to look up diet plans.
My research led me to Paleo Recipes, but I had no idea what this meant. Was I supposed to make soup from stones? Was I going to go out a club a wooly mammoth and drag it home for dinner?
FAR FROM IT!
I ordered the Paleo Recipes Book and fully expected to see pictures of people in aprons made out of saber-toothed tigers sharpening spears, but I was completely wrong.
Paleo Recipes is about reconditioning your body to what it was meant to be. You see, over the years, as society became more technologically advanced, our bodies (for lack of a better word) became stupider. Processed meat, bleached refined grains, chemicals I can’t even pronounce blasting our taste buds to the point where we’re just shoveling junk food in our mouths for empty calories while our systems remain malnourished.
In the book, you won’t see anything like flour or artificial flavoring. What you’ll see are recipes with whole foods – spices, vegetables, meat, nuts, fruit. DELICIOUS STUFF!
So, I’ve been going through this book and making these recipes – salads, stewed chicken and vegetables, meatballs – MEATBALLS! When was the last time you saw a diet that let you eat meatballs?
The recipes are easy and won’t come close to breaking the bank. There are almost 400 recipes in the Paleo Recipes Book, so if you don’t like something, you can easily find a meal that will satisfy you. And the diet plan is so easy to follow, you probably won’t even notice you’re on it, because of how good the food is and how natural everything comes. I missed a day the first week, so I tried to improvise a meal and when I went back to check what Paleo Recipes Book recommended, I found out that I didn’t deviate at all. That’s how simple and easy it is!
Now, let’s talk facts.
I’ve been doing this for about 2 months now, and I’m down to what I weighed when I was athletic and in my early twenties. My body has been cleaned out of chemicals – I don’t feel the urge for soda and junk food, because let’s face it, if you weigh a bag of chips and a liter of soda against a full course meal that you make yourself (keep in mind, I never really cooked until I started doing this) it’s no contest. For what the average person spends in a week on soda, fast food, and eating out at restaurants, you can feed yourself for a month or more with Paleo Recipes and you’ll be full and satisfied!
You don’t have to be a genius in the kitchen. You don’t have to spend hours slaving over an oven. You don’t have to go broke looking for special ingredients.
All you need to do is want to lose weight and follow the plan in the Paleo Recipes Book.
Full meals, snack, desserts, party food – it’s all in there. Plus you get to lose weight, clean your system, improve your metabolism, and there are some added benefits with Paleo Recipes that no amount of junk food or starving yourself could ever give you – a longer, healthier life. Your doctor will thank you. Your family and loved ones will thank you. And most imprtantly, your body and heart will thank you.
