Accessorize Your Teen’s Room With Paper Lanterns And Pendant Lighting
By: Clerisa Gomes

Effective lighting is necessary to add style and create the right ambience in any room. Getting a trendy, alluring lighting accessory will surely transform your teen’s room. Other than looking vibrant, lighting instantly adds a positive vibe to any room.

Paper lanterns
Paper lanterns suffuse a space with soft light that can add depth and dimension to a room. Whether you place a single paper lantern or a series of lanterns in a room, you are sure to get the look you desire. Paper lanterns are available in a variety of shades, colors and styles. Select a color and style that your teen loves and hang it in their room either above the bed or right above the study desk.

Go for red paper lanterns if your teen’s room is painted in neural shades like beige or tan to make the red pop. Another great alternative would be to choose two paper lanterns in contrasting colors like blue and orange or maybe yellow and pink for girls’ rooms. Paper lanterns are also available in a variety of patterns and designs if you do not want to go for solid colors.

Pendant lighting
Pendant lighting is usually suspended from the ceiling just like chandeliers. Pendant lighting is available in countless number of designs, styles, shapes and sizes. They are used for providing bright, focused lighting and are excellent when used as task lighting that is hung above study tables. Another advantage of pendant lights is that they are space-saving. Being suspended from the ceiling, they do not take up any physical space on table tops or floors but serve the basic objective of providing light.

When you are decorating your teen’s room, remember to plan how and where you want to place the lighting. Since teens like bright colors, go for a pendant in vivid hues to match up to the décor of his or her room. Pendant lighting can be used alone or you can create an interesting effect by suspending a grouping of two or three at varying heights and add extra brightness to a space.

Whether you choose to be stylish or simple, pick lighting options which make your teen’s room look inviting and warm!
