Your choice of t-shirt is always personal. Not because it is technically underwear, but because it is an iconic and universal garment, yet can be manipulated with just a few words or a small image. People find it easy to relate to whatever your t-shirt says, than say, if you wore leather chaps and a feather boa, so the level to which you want to make a statement is up to you…considering that even a plain white t-shirt can be in itself a statement, even if you aren’t trying to.
Some people really don’t care if everyone and their dog has the same t-shirt as them, while others will travel to the ends of the earth to make sure that they stand out as the only person in existence with a particular design.
Where can you go to get varying levels of uniqueness?
Not Especially
If you really don’t care about your t-shirt quality or its level of uniqueness, they you may as well just go to your local big supermarket and head to their clothing section, or to a GAP or somewhere like H+M where they print each design on a million t-shirts and ship them around the world. This means you may walk into a pub and find that at least 16 other people have the same top on as you. If this doesn’t bother you then go right ahead…
A Bit
If you want to know that it is less likely that someone will have your t-shirt you probably want to head to a major fashion label of some kind. By this I mean Dolce & Gabbana or Gucci or Karen Millen. These places will make a reasonable number of each design but due to the fact that there are less of these stores and they are expensive, it is much less likely you will meet your t-shirt twin.
Almost Completely
Charity shops are getting fancier and fancier. No longer are they just full of old ladies musty jackets and old man’s shoes, they are now better organised and full of funky stuff from the 80’s and 90’s, and often you will find t-shirts that no one else has anymore.
Completely Unique
There are a few shops in major cities that specialise in unique stylish or funny t shirts. They are normally populated by a rotating collection of local artists or art students, keen to get their things seen by the world. If you go into the shop and speak to one of the designers you can ask them if they can make you something that no one else will have. They will love the compliment and you will get 100% unique funny t shirts UK style. You win!
