The Canon T2i is right now a reality. You can obtain one right this moment, no more waiting.
Countless photographers are psyched about this new DSLR. It was only recently that Canon released the Canon 7D which appears to have been received by the photographic culture with adoration and praise.
Nevertheless consider this. Camera forums are overflowing with comments about these two new models. And particularly that they may be interchangeable.
Is this possible?
There are a few of reasons that this has been mentioned. First, both cameras share a common image sensor size at 18 megapixels. Second is the video functionality. Both can take 1080p HD video. So, with these two likenesses, are they not equivalent?
The response is a unquestionable NO!
Although both are excellent cameras, they are not the same. Wouldn't it be nice if they were, though? You could simply purchase the Canon Rebel T2i vs the Canon 7D and save 50% right off the top. That's $800 rather than $1600.
But they are not equal.
Here are several differences:
* First and most obvious when you hold both DSLRs, you would discover a difference in the construction. The Canon 7D has a magnesium body with weather resistant seals, while the T2i is made with a few metal parts, but not nearly as substantial as its older sibling.
* Second is the burst rate. Burst rate is the number of frames per second that can be recorded. It's 8.0 frames per second vs 3.7 frames per second. A definite edge for the much more sophisticated elder sibling.
* Third is the control features. The 7D is a great deal more powerful when you evaluate the quantity of control you have as a photographer. It is simply just much more specialized than the newer digital SLR.
So, while the Canon Rebel T2i is a ‚'honey of a camera‚', it is simply not a 7D. And Canon by no means said it was.
The maker does, however, mention the comparable movie mode. And each of these digital SLRs take wonderful HD video.
The important point here is this: If I were coming into the Digital slr marketplace today, I would certainly purchase a Canon Rebel T2i. It is an amazing entry level DSLR at its current price.
If, on the other hand, I could possibly purchase a Canon 7D instead of a T2i, there is no question I would take that option at the drop of a hat.
I love photography and all things related to it. Cameras, camera gear, and image editing software fascinate me, so I am either buying the newest piece of equipment (or software) or researching my next purchase.
