Different Benefits Of Vitamins And The Different Vitamin Deficiencies.
By: anneyshine

If you suffer from an illness that causes joint pain, such as osteoarthritis, it is possible that vitamin deficiencies might be contributing to the problem. Although using vitamin supplements including vitamin D, the antioxidant vitamins A,C and E, and essential fatty acids will not cure your joint pain, they can significantly relieve your symptoms and prevent the illness progressing.Vitamin D deficiency means that the body is not able to naturally rebuild cartilage in your joints when it is worn away. This leads to a more rapid development of arthritis. A deficiency of vitamin D can also lead to bone diseases such as osteoporosis and rickets, so it is recommended that young babies are given vitamin D supplements if they are breast fed as breast milk will not provide them with sufficient vitamin D.Women can have hormonal imbalances during and after pregnancy, during menopause, and even during menstruation. If they are lacking certain vitamins it could only enhance these imbalances. This is why hair loss, women, and vitamin deficiency are so closely related. I have researched the vitamins that you could be lacking, so here they are.

The Vitamin A caters to proper vision. It also functions as an anti-oxidant that blocks off any potential oxidizing reaction that will be detrimental to our body. Green and leafy vegetables, papaya and pumpkin are just few of the several rich sources of Vitamin A. The Vitamin B group includes thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, folic acid, biotin and cyanocobalamin. These are crucial in the proper functioning of the nervous system and in the food conversion to energy. It also helps in other metabolic functions of the body. Vitamin B can be richly found in beans, whole grain, vegetables, nuts, milk, eggs and others. The only sources of Vitamin B12 are animal products such as liver, cheese and meat. The vitamins included in the B group are important in the metabolism of amino acids and nitrogen and in the maintenance of the health of the skin.

This is necessary for the metabolism of every cell of the body. The absorption of this vitamin requires an intact and functioning gut. In celiacs , this becomes an issue due to the destruction of gut lining. B12 deficiency can cause severe and irreversible damage to the nervous system. If the deficiency is not severe, the typical symptoms include: fatigue, depression, and memory issues. B12 can be found in animal products such as meats, eggs, shellfish, and milk. Vegans can easily become deficient unless soy products are fortified. Daily recommendations for adults are 1000-2000mcg (micrograms). It is important to recheck blood levels after supplementation in 3-5 months.
