The first thing to do is to turn off off your Xbox console and then remove the cable that connects the power supply to the Xbox itself.

It might sound obvious, but in order to disconnect the cable connecting the power supply to the machine, you must remove the power cable from the socket on the wall. Secondly, disconnect the power cable from the back of the machine. Once done you can put back all of the power cables and then attempt to start the console again. If your console will still not turn back on, we are looking at some more drastic corrective measures, that are beyond the scope of this short tutorial, but all is not yet lost!

There are preventative measures that you can though, which might stop the problem occurring at all. In actuality, there are a few things that you can do to avoid the risk of for gaming disaster! In addition to this, ensure that you do not put the power supply on a duvet or sofa or anything with soft material that could ride up and cover the ventilation openings of the machine. Finally, do not put the power supply in a tight space like a bookcase or shelf, and do not put it near an alternative heat source such as amplification equipment or a radiator. or even near direct sunlight, like a window.

The red ring of death is not the end of your Xbox 360 playing days, because it is possible to fix your Xbox in a few hours, with a tiny bit of assistance.
