The Best Espresso Machines Are From Italy
By: Mary Swanson

It shouln't be as hard as it is to choose the right espresso maker, but the massive choice makes it so, turning a pleasant experience into a chore. The most expensive maker is not always the best choice, thanks to wide differences in build quality.

How does one choose the best espresso machine? This is a very personal question because "one man's meat is another man's poison," and especially so with the wide range of machines available.
How is espresso different to other coffee?
Espresso coffee is fast to make and an instant pleaser, being delivered swiftly. The flavor of a good cup of espresso will have a strong aroma, sweet taste and tastes just like fresh ground coffee. If you are new to the superb taste of the perfect shot opf espresso. you will need to test or try a number of machines until you find the one that makes the perfect shot - but some machines are more equal than others.
Can you make as good a shot at home using a home machine?
Home machines have become extremely sophisticated and can recreate the pefect barrista made shot with little difficulty.. If you find yourself visiting a coffee shop three or four times a day, you know how expensive this can become. Buying coffee in a coffee shop means you must pay the barista for every single cup he makes and this means also payinbg all the other costs involved in making single cups. They have the skills and training to make aperfect shot every time. But investing in a coffee maker of your own will save a fortune in the long run and it is more than possible to learn this art at home.
How to decide on the best machine
It is hard to decide where to start your search for the perfect machine if you are new to the idea of making it at home. Most manufaturers offer testing facilities, but these tend to be only in the big cities and in any case will provide a different result to when you get the machine home. You will want to find a machine that offers good taste, be easy to use and the quality features needed to make a good cup of coffee. If you are not in a position to visit some of these store, you can always ask around your friends, and check out online reviews or magazine reviews. Believe it or not there are actually magazines printed for the coffee aficionado. Certain coffee shops that also sell machines have trained emplyess to demonstrate them although they tend to be biased towards machines they sell with their own label on. One other possibility is to try the rather wasteful automatic machines that use individual pods of ready made coffee. You will soon be looking forward to making your own perfect shot at home if you decide to buy one of these machines.
