Milk & Dairy Products High In Protein And Vitamins

Food and beverage industry is a collection of different interconnected categories of food components. Dairy milk and bakery products are integral part of the food industry despite looking distinct in features. Similarly, fruits, vegetables, and bread are components in many other products in the food industry. Dairy products are foods, which produced from cow's or domestic buffalo's milk. They are generally high-energy-yielding food products. Raw milk for processing comes mainly from cows and buffalos to a lesser extent, from other mammals such as goats, sheep, yaks, camels, or horses. Dairy products include multiple types of categories like ghee, yogurt, and cheese. A production plant for such processing is called a dairy or a dairy factory. Growth prospects in dairy industry are termed healthy with credits to free market system, wide availability of raw materials i.e. milk and ingredients, developing technology infrastructure and wide range of supporting manpower.

Ghee is a clarified butter, which is obtained by gentle heating of butter and removal of the solid matter. In ghee making process, the cream of yogurt is removed each day from the milk and it is stored in a container for refrigeration. After the churning process, this cream provides a solid form of butter. Now this washed butter can now be used to prepare ghee. Ghee is used as an ingredient to prepare the kadhi and different varieties of halva and laddu. It is an important part of Indian Cuisine and traditionally, the Parathas, Daals and Curries in India are prepared by Ghee in order to give the food a delicious taste. Ghee is very high in Vitamin A and Vitamin D content. It can be supportive for eye, legs, hands and bone health. Ghee helps the absorption of not only vitamins and minerals but also phyto nutrients. Fruit preserves are preparations of fruits and sugar by canning process for long-term storage. The ingredients used and how they are prepared determine the type of preserves.

Fruit Jam, jellies and marmalades are all examples of different styles of fruit preserves based upon the ingredients used in their preparation. Fruit jam contains both fruit juice and pieces of the fruit's flesh. Jams are usually made from pulp and juice of one fruit, rather than a combination of several fruits. The fruits cut into small pieces or crushed to prepare the jams. Milk is processed into dairy products such as cream, butter, yogurt, kefir, ice cream, and especially the more durable and easily transportable product, cheese. It contains significant amounts of saturated fat, protein and calcium as well as vitamin and minerals. Modern industrial processes produce casein, whey protein, lactose, condensed milk, powdered milk, and many other food-additive and industrial products.
