Dracula The Evil Protagonist

Bram stoker wrote Dracula during Victorian age. It is a fantasy novel, which vividly describes the role of vampires, and is a symbolic reflection of that age. Count Dracula, even today, remains a distinctive character and reading the novel makes one shiver in horror. The novel is not a straight writing but written in the shape of letters, journals and diary depictions by Jonathan Harker, a first time solicitor, who visited the castle to settle a deal in London for Count Dracula.





During those time women had two choices- to be a virgin or a mother. Harker vividly describes the women's sexual aggression and their voluptuousness from his experience in Castle. Count Dracula is century's old vampire, depicted as a nobleman, stays in an early castle- in the Carpathian Mountains near Borgo Pass. He has been buried in the castle along with three of his female vampires. The nobleman reflection of the character hides all his evil purpose and black art from the innocent people.



The mysterious character had the attitude to overcome the world. As the history spells, he was the son of Vlad Dracul and the subsistence backs to 1436-1447.

The surname 'Dracul' ultimately became Dracula. When he died, his body was perfumed and transferred to the Turkish Sultan. The books depicted him as a tyrant, for his historical behavior. But why? Theemotional factor reflects on the Victorian age cruelty and mixing up of neglect of female sex that prevailed in Victorian age.



Many critics opine that Dracula is not a prince and a Transylvania Count residing in the mysterious castle. This is the place where he lured normally women victims and drink their blood from the neck for supporters. The novel is scary and horrific.

The castle and the place has turn out a tourist attraction. Many people opine that Dracula was living in 1431 when Transylvania was under the rule of Hungary and his father was the military governor. The name given to him after the carnage and ruthlessness he showed in the battles. The history speaks that his nickname then was "Dracul". Moreover, the implication is the name understood as sin, dragon or devil. Many critics have opined the psychoanalytic prospect of Dracula Character in various ways.



Bram Stoker wrote the article devouring the basic intricacies of the time. The enjoyment of slow dying in his novel and Dracula's character as vampire turning women to his cult of vampire is depicted. The language of Bram Stoker is so remarkable that it sounds real and chilling.
