The treatment for your kidney stones may be different from the other types of stones and therefore it is recommended that you know what type you have. So before you go skipping ahead to learn about treatment options, find out how they form, how they are tested for and which ones you are most likely to have. Your doctor will always be your best recourse in evaluating all aspects as you go through this. In some cases, if the kidney stones that you have passed are available, it is reasonable to analyze them in the lab.

Passing a kidney stone is the end to this right? Unfortunately, the answer is NO. Majority of you will have another episode of kidney stones. Because of this, it is important to know what you have to do to prevent it from happening again

Renal calculi, nephrolithiasis or nephroalcinosis most commonly known as KIDNEY STONES are stones or crystal-like formations located in the kidneys or urinary tract. The kidney secretes them from various waste products and/or minerals in your urine. Knowing the minerals or waste products you have in your system and determining the remedy that will work for you are the basic essentials to your treatment.

Kidney stones have varying structures. The most common type is made up of calcium mixed with oxalate or phosphate called calcium stones. The least common of the types are made of uric acid, struvite or arbonate-apatite and cystine. Having too much calcium in the urine known also as hypercalciuria is the main complication. Calcium solidifies into crystals and forms stones when there is too much of it in the urine.

Excessive or unbalanced intake of oxalate rich food possibly boosts the chances of getting calcium oxalate monohydrate stones. Five oxalate rich food include soybean seeds, spinach, nuts, cocoa and rhubarb~Soybean seeds, spinach, nuts, rhubarb and cocoa are five of the many food choices that are high in oxalate. This will depend on how much is absorbed as individuals are different from one another.Keeping your intake of oxalates in check lessens the chances of getting kidney stones. Vitamin C is an oxalate precursor and oxalate levels in the urine increases in both stone forming and non-stone forming people.

It may be more comfortable for you to move around, curl up in a fetal position or be upright when you are passing a stone. Generally, changing positions may help somewhat in terms of gravity and assisting your body in eliminating the stones. How much this may help is totally speculative. There is no assurance. Considering how you body passes stones, jump theraphy will not have the effect you aim for. Kidney stones do not have the weight to be jolted loose within the ureter to have pass with ease.Stones are not massive enough to be shaken loose with no hindrance within the ureter}. There is a possibility of rattling stones free from your kidney's collecting system into the ureteral area ensuring you more PAIN as more stones try to pass.

Get checked out by your doctor first with an ultrasound before your attempts to help yourself do more harm than good. Follow your doctors advise on how to dissolve or dislodge large stones and transfom them to smaller stones before trying to pass them.Treatment options include the best of mainstream and complementary alternatives or what we call integrative therapies.
