Types Of Cysts: Ovarian Cyst Types And Treatment Options
By: Rosie Sanders

Nearly every woman will experience ovarian cysts at some point in their child bearing years. Most of them will not even realize they have them because they will vanish on their own.

Different types of cysts will have their own symptoms. A few will be more painful than others. Identifying the cysts is something that only a doctor can do with an ultrasound, but from that point the options are up to you as you decide how you want to go about treating the cyst.

The majority of ovarian cysts are fluid filled sacs that develop on the ovaries. Most of the time you won’t even know they’re there. But unfortunately, sometimes the cysts become enlarged or even rupture, which is extremely uncomfortable. The most frequent forms of cysts are the follicular and corpus luteum cysts. Neither one is known to be painful or hard to get rid of.

Follicular cysts are formed with the follicle fails to release the egg at ovulation. Instead, it fills with fluid. This type of cyst generally dissolves within two to three months.

Corpus luteum cysts form with the egg is released, but the follicle fails to dissolve. Instead, it reseals and fills with fluid. This is the most common form of cyst found in pregnancy.

Less frequent varieties of cysts are dermoid cysts and endometrioid cysts. These two varieties of cysts are known to be more painful. Anyhow, you don’t need these cysts. Recurring ovarian cysts can cause many fertility issues. The way to a cure when dealing with these more severe types of cysts is knowing how to treat them.

Traditional medicine usually prescribes hormonal therapy or surgery, but both of those carry a plethora of side effects and are usually painful. There are natural remedies to relieve the discomfort of ovarian cysts and keep them from recurring in the future. Most people don’t realize that just treating the symptoms of ovarian cysts doesn’t work. To finally get rid of them you’ve got to discover the root cause.
