Panic Therapy – Do You Really Think That Medication Will Solve Your Problems?
By: Joseph P. Landry

Are you in constant fear of that next panic attack? Do you just hope to get through the day without the feeling of having that familiar chest pain and sweaty palms? Your life is in constant turmoil and upheaval because you have lost control of your very being. You are looking forward to your next appointment with your physician. Perhaps if your doctor prescribes you a stronger dose of medication, it will help ease the wild thoughts coming from your mind. Let me tell you something friend, as I really want to help you. Regarding panic therapy, do you really think that those pills are the solution for your attacks?

For a period of time back in the late 1990’s, I experienced frequent panic attacks. I personally know of the tremendous toll that this condition takes on both your mind and body. Because of a traumatic event which occurred in my life, getting through each day was tumultuous. My psychiatrist did diagnose that I had severe depression and an anxiety disorder. Prescription medication that I took was there only to alleviate the symptoms. I took them only as a short-term solution, again only to treat the symptoms. From my doctor, I learned that pills do not treat the triggers, or causes for panic attacks. I tell you this so that you are aware of that fact.

The triggers that have led to your panic attacks are probably different from mine, a dozen years ago. Whatever the cause, you have probably lost control in the ability to rationalize the thoughts that are coming from your mind. Have you become consumed with fear about your future? Are you stressed to such an emotional state, believing that there is nothing but negativity and doom in your future? Does the thought of the next attack frighten you to an even heightened level?

Natural panic therapy involves behavioral techniques which help you to define your triggers. Using these techniques, you are able to treat panic attacks for what they are, temporary events which you can learn to control. You will learn to not treat the attacks as living, breathing organisms that have permanently taken control of your being. Through this type of therapy, you also learn the importance of participating in relaxation exercises. Meditation and yoga help to ease the level of stress in both your mind and body. Besides the toll that stress does to your mind, without question it will eventually cause significant damage to your body. Prolonged stress to a body, leads to elevated blood pressure levels. Over time, high blood pressure could lead to potentially lethal strokes or heart attacks.

The best news about panic therapy is that once you are able to incorporate many of these different techniques into a daily action plan, progress will be made permanently. Popping anti-anxiety pills into your mouth daily will not produce the same results over the long haul. I have a relative who had a forty year career in the medical industry. This person has often told me of one very important fact when it comes to taking prescription medication. Any form of prescription medication that you take often produces side effects. So, that pill that you take may help ward off the next possible panic attack. It could also produce an effect on your body more damaging than an attack itself.

Panic therapy involves a treatment plan that will work on the causes for your attacks.  The number one goal is for you to regain control of the thoughts in your head; using the natural behavioral techniques to eliminate these attacks permanently.  Friend, I truly hope that I have planted a seed of hope in enabling you to overcome your condition.  There is much more information available about this subject that I simply could not include in one article.  If you seriously want help and more information, I urge you to visit this site:  curepanicattacks57.info.
