My Personal Guide To An Acne Free Lifestyle
By: Sarah Lee

Although it is teenagers who mostly get acne, adults are also common victims. However, the worst part about adult acne is adults skin is rougher and not as elastic as teenager's skin, so it is more difficult for adults to deal with. While there are many different acne solutions, most of them are not as helpful to the patients as they should be. It may occur that you bought a solution that actually worsened your situation with acne. The smart thing to do before purchasing a product is to do a little research on it or even read reviews about the item. Also, consider these steps on how to get rid of adult acne:

1. Always wash your face because it is important to moisten your skin. If you do not clean your face regularly, your skin has an extremely high chance of getting acne. Make sure to gently wash your face. Use mild soap as opposed to strong-scented soaps. To those who may not know what a mild soap is or what brands are mild soaps, talk to your dermatologist. Warm water that has been boiled is recommended when unclogging your pores. Non-boiled water can have unknown effects on the skin, and it can remove elements from the body from within the skin.

2. Try applying benzyl peroxide in your skin for at least a week. This scrapes dead skin layers to show up the new, healthier skin underneath. This solution also removes oil and bacteria that may otherwise end up as acne. Benzyl peroxide is often packaged as a cleanser or other product so it may take some searching to find it.

3. Keep your hands off your face, especially during the day. Most likely, they have gone to many different places and have acquired germs and bacteria here and there. Bring with you a hand cleanser or alcohol with you so you can keep bacteria off of your face. Another tips is not pick your acne. Your body will eventually find a way to remove it, after you have treated it, so there is no purpose in trying to speed up the process. The result could be that you get scarred skin, which is worse because it can be removed.

4. Avoid oil-based products. Hair products and make-up that have oil content only worsens your condition. This oil can make its way to your face and stimulate the growth of bacteria in the skin. When you eat something oily, gently wipe off your mouth with tissue or towel, making sure it does not spread to your face.

5. Always drink water because your body will then get ris of all unnecessary materials in the body. Also, eat plenty of fruits because they contain nutrients that help your skin texture.
