Tips to ensure that you don’t mistreat your feet
Let’s face it, feet are important. Just think of how much you walk about every day. We put our feet under a lot of strain and pressure from the moment we get out of bed in the morning to the moment we climb back in to at night. So it makes sense that we should look after them, here are some tips to help you treat your feet right.
Make Sure Your Shoes Fit
It may seem obvious but it is important that when buying a new pair of shoes you need to try them on to make sure they fit correctly. If your shoes are too tight then they will restrict the circulation to your feet, cause pain to your joints and could cause cramping. So take the time to try them on and walk about in them before you buy them, it’s worth taking the time to avoid damaging your feet in the long term.
Soak Your Feet
By taking a hot bath or using a foot spa you allow your feet to have some well-earned relaxation time. The muscles of your feet will be tight and strained after walking around all day so by soaking them in hot water they will be rejuvenated and able to repair the damaged muscles.
Take Care of Your Nails
Damaged toe nails can be very painful and can lead to much more serious problems such as fungal infections and so taking good care of them is important. Make sure that you trim the nails regularly and avoid cutting them in a triangular shape which can lead to them growing back in an irregular shape resulting in painful problems.
Comfort
Being comfortable in your shoes is very important for your posture, legs, back and of course, your feet. If you do not feel comfortable in your shoes then you could develop blisters, cuts and bruises which make walking about a nightmare. Buy shoes that allow your feet to breath, mens trainers are effective for this, particularly DC skate shoes. Ensure that you have the support that your legs and back need; you want your footwear to have a solid and absorbable base so that you don’t feel very stone in the ground when you walk.
