Do I Need A Consultant To Help Me With Planning?
By: Regie Macalam

Consultants are typically advisers, experts or professionals in a specific field including but not limited to management, technology, human resources, law, marketing, finance, economics, communication, engineering and much more. They usually have an extreme knowledge of the subject matter in their specific field and provide outstanding services. Consultants usually work for a consultancy firm such as FutureAfrica* or are self-employed. Most of the time, they are engaged with multiple and changing clients.

Planning is an act of formulating a program or discipline for a definite course of action. It is a process of drawing up plans or layouts for some project or enterprise. It is the psychological process of thinking about the actions necessary to create a desired goal on some scale which may involve more than one individual.

Good planning helps produce better choices. It helps organizations, companies, businesses, investors or individuals envision the direction of their progress. It will help them find the right balance of new development, essential services and innovative change.

You may want to hire a Consultant if:
- your organization or company has not conducted business strategic planning before.
- previous strategic planning have failed for a variety of reasons.
- there appears to be conflict between organization or company members due to a wide range of ideas and/or concerns about strategic planning.
- no one in the organization or company is confident or has sufficient facilitation skills.
- no one is committed to facilitating strategic planning for the organization or company.
- leaders believe that an inside facilitator will either discourage participation from others or will not have the opportunity to fully participate in planning themselves.
- leaders want an objective voice. (ex. someone who is not likely to have strong inclinations about the organization's strategic issues and ideas.)

Strategic planning is done in many organizations, companies, businesses and investments which provided them good results most of the time. And consultants are professionals who work with appointed officials to lead the planning process with the goal of creating organizations, companies or businesses of lasting value. They envision new possibilities and solutions that are necessary for your business' stability and growth.

Management Consultants at FutureAfrica provide strategy consulting you need to insure your business plan is align with the visions and aims of your organization, company or business.
