It is easy to setup a Wordpress newsletter manager from your website with this free plugin that handles your new subscribers. It is referred to as the free [GWA] autoresponder and it does some very cool things.
Like what, you say?
Well, to start, you can simply download this free WP newsletter plugin and install it on your website. Once installed, just activate it from your plugin menu. Then, in the bottom left of your Wordpress website administrator login, you will see "[GWA] Autoresponder" options. Clicking there will allow you to setup your newsletter. This takes only a few minutes, as you will need to name your newsletter, setup the welcome message and perhaps your first newsletter.
Then, you can place an easy subscription form in a prominent spot on your website, inviting visitors to subscribe with their name and email. I recommend the top left of your homepage as this is the first place people look. Once a new person has subscribed, your prospect will then automatically be emailed the welcome message. Follow-up messages may also be scheduled at times that suit you. For example, I have one newletter that send shorts tips, automatically, to my subscribers once per week. I only need to create 52 short tips and the whole year is taken care of. Certainly, I can send special offers and greetings at random times as well. The GWA plugin is flexible like that.
Such an autoresponder is ideal as it automates a newsletter subscription, delivery and other pesky related tasks. You can then focus on more important thngs like writing the messages or performing your core business functions.
Once the plugin is installed, promote your subscription service and you can automatically build a list of newsletter subscribers while you sleep.
