How Do You Know If Your Blog Visitors Will Trust You?
By: Greg Hammersley

It's no longer difficult to start your blog these days with the number of blogging platforms available. But going beyond that and engaging in business is where everything gets different and more challenging. Trust can be a tough one and it just depends, so we have some solid ideas you can explore on your blog.

Consider very carefully that if your navigation structure is not helpful to your visitors, as it should easily be, then people will extend that to not trusting your ability to provide what they are looking for. It is really simple because they draw conclusions, right or wrong, that will be applied to all kinds of other areas. If your visitors aren't able to navigate around effectively they will most definitely start to question your competence when it comes down to giving them what they want. Nowadays the blogging platforms that are available make it easy for you to get the navigation right, especially with the various plugins out there, so make sure you don't ignore it. We all want to make money very fast, but the fact is that you cannot apply pressure to your audience in any fashion. You know that all business blogs have some kind of reputation with their markets, but that almost never happens overnight. So this also means that you should not do any overt selling techniques in your posts. If your blog basically looks appealing and the content is solid, then some people will begin to give you the benefit of the doubt. Variety in all you do while being consistent in how you do it will keep people interested in what you have to say. Being consistent in what you do while helping them with solid solutions will go far with any market. All you have to do is maintain this kind of strategy, and remember there is much more you can do, as well.

If your readers feel that your blog isn't really alive and offers stagnant content then they would obviously not trust you for regular, fresh updates. This is why you should try to add content to your blog on a regular basis so that there is nothing lacking in it. Having the courage to take that kind of constant action will demonstrate that you are here to stay.

If you want to achieve a long term readership from your visitors and keep them coming back to your blog then it's important that you focus on increasing the trust level of your visitors in every possible way.
