4. Discussions forums are great because you meet people similar to yourselves. As social networking picks up many people thought discussion forums would die out. Really it's just the opposite because a good quality discussion forum is an excellent place to learn things as well as teach people.
You really can brand yourself an expert and people will come to your website or blog to see what else you have to say besides what you just wrote about in the discussion forum. One other benefit is many joint ventures have come out of discussion forums because of the people that you do meet.
